Pinch of Naughty by Gem Sivad

Summary:

Eleanor Lacey’s husband is as dead as their sexless marriage. While she waits for the law to decide if she’s widowed or divorced, she leaves scandal in Connecticut behind and flees to Texas to begin anew. But she needs money—fast. What better way to earn her grubstake, than by cooking meals for the richest rancher in the state?

Cyrus Burke works hard for every penny he makes and prides himself on knowing where to cut costs. He doesn’t want a wife cluttering up his life. His housekeepers are good enough—round the clock employees tending his sexual appetite, too. Mrs. Lacey applies for the position and looks like a promising candidate. Delicious in fact, as smooth and creamy as a tasty tart.

When Eleanor and Cyrus come together, it’s a recipe for hot love—take one wickedly willful widow and one arrogantly masterful man, add a dash of decadent desire, a pinch of sizzling naughty, and turn up the fire.

Reviewer: Dolce Amore

Cyrus Burke is searching for a housekeeper who can take care of his sexual needs and doesn’t think Eleanor Lacey will suit because of her “morally upright” look. But he gives her a try when she promises him that she can do it.

“I  was married for five years and I’m not unfamiliar with sexual  congress.” Pragmatically she added, “Whatever your demands, I will deliver.” Cyrus had a lot of demands and they didn’t come cheap.
Eleanor needs money fast and a place to hide from her grandfather, that’s why she won’t give up to this job. She will stay, no matter what.

He hadn’t said no. Well, actually he had—twice—but she was still here.
I will not let a trivial detail get in the way.

After five years of marriage with a man who didn’t worry about destroying her reputation when he wanted a divorce, she needs to be free. And she's decided that owning a pastry shop will allow her to be independent. Yet, she needs to make enough money to open it and working for Cyrus was a way of gaining it.

Mr. Burke was the quintessential male—insufferably arrogant.
Still, she soon falls in love with him.

In little more than a day, Mrs. Lacey had invaded his kitchen, enthralled his crew, claimed his house and mesmerized his cock.

And very soon she makes him think about marriage, something no woman managed before her.

I loved the book!!! Perfect for lovers of historical romance, it's a book you can read over and over again with the same delight and pleasure. 5 stars.
