Peek-A-Boo (Josh of the Damned 2) by Andrea Speed

Summary:
As night-shift clerk at the go-to Quik-Mart for monsters with the munchies, Josh Caplan believes he’s seen it all. Battling lizard men, werewolves chasing cars in the parking lot . . . nothing fazes Josh anymore.

Or so he thinks, at least, until a yeti with poor communication skills drops a dead skunk on the checkout counter. Josh can’t figure what a living, breathing shag carpet wants with him, or why it won’t leave him alone no matter how hard he ignores it. But hey, at least it seems harmless . . . if perhaps a little slow on the draw.

But Sasquatch is plenty fast when two of Josh’s human customers try to out-monster the monsters. Times are strange when creatures from the hell portal save the day, but in the protective hands of a lovesick yeti and a sexy vampire boyfriend, Josh realizes that maybe his new normal isn’t so bad after all.

Because I knew to except more of a comedy story than a love story for this second installment of the Josh of the Damned series, I was able to enjoy it even more than I did the first. Again, like the first novel we find Josh working the graveyard shift at the Quik-Mart and he once again runs into crazy trouble.

In this installment, Josh finds himself with a yeti who is trying to court him by giving him a dead skunk and a rotting tree branch with mushrooms growing on it. He also gets robbed by two humans and saved by the sasquatch or rug monster or chewbacca's cousin as Josh calls him, only to find out that he dragged them back home to eat them.

This seems to be just another typical night for Josh. We also find out that Josh's boyfriend Colin is a vampire (unless I some how missed that in the first) but get no real character development from him. This story had me laughing even harder than I did with the first and I can't wait for the next to be released. I'm just hoping it will be even longer. I'm giving this story 4.5 stars.
